About betterbid
betterbid is a public leaderboard for products, websites, and any URL. There's no login, no votes, and no algorithm deciding what rises. Your rank is simply the total you've paid — and anyone can pay a dollar more to take it from you.
No accounts
There's no sign-up, no owner, and no "claiming" a listing. Whoever pays for a URL adds to that URL's lifetime total — that's the whole identity model.
No algorithm
No engagement score, no editorial pick, no ads. Rank is one number: how much has ever been paid for that spot, added up.
Public by default
Online visitors, clicks, cost-per-click, and total volume are shown on every listing. No dashboards hidden behind a login.
How it works
- Enter a product, website, or any URL (or an X
@handle), pick a whole-dollar amount, and pay through Creem.io. - Once the payment is confirmed, your listing appears on the board — usually within a minute.
- Rank is your lifetime total, not your last payment. Submit the same URL again to add to it and climb.
- Anyone can outbid you at any time by paying more for their own URL. Nothing is reserved.
- Clicks are counted first-party through
/go/redirects — no third-party trackers.
Why pay-to-rank
Most leaderboards hide their ranking logic behind votes, engagement scores, or ad spend nobody can see. betterbid does the opposite: the only signal is money, and the total paid for every listing is public. What you see is the entire mechanism — nothing is happening behind the scenes.
What betterbid doesn't do
- No admin panel. Moderation is automatic filters plus a support inbox — see Rules for what's not allowed.
- No refunds. Being outbid, matched, or removed for breaking the rules isn't a refund reason.
- No visitor-facing trackers. Visitor and click counts are aggregate numbers only — nothing is sold or shared.
- No account ownership over a URL. Rules on ties and concurrent payments are covered on the Rules page.
